Arthroscopic Surgery

Why does Dr. Glashow specialize in arthroscopic orthopaedic surgery? Arthroscopic surgery allows the doctor to enter a person's body through small incisions and view the inside of a joint with a small camera. This typically leads to less scaring and quicker recovery times for patients. In traditional surgery, the doctor creates larger incisions which allows him view the inside of the joint in a different way. Depending on the procedure and circumstance, one type of surgery may be better than another.

Dr. Glashow is highly specialized in the arthroscopic technique. He prefers this method because it typically leaves the patient with less pain and stiffness, fewer complications, shorter hospital stays and faster recovery times. As an avid athlete, Dr. Glashow understands the stress and frustration caused by shoulder and knee injuries. That is why he has perfected his skills in an area that gets professional athletes back on their feet in the shortest amount of time.
